This charity who’s aims are to obtain, restore, preserve and operate a representative collection of heritage railway buildings, rolling stock and artefacts between Ambergate and Buxton are currently in negotiation with Derbyshire Dales District Council to obtain the derelict Grade II listed building situated on the down platform at Darley Dale Station. This is the Trust’s main project and currently they are trying to raise sufficient funds to restore it to its former glory.

The Trust have recently provided traditional fencing, lighting and seating on the down platform. Other on going projects include restoration of the former footbridge at Darley Dale, provision of water tower and interpretation boards at Rowsley South and the construction of a signalbox at Matlock Riverside.
